Considering so many of the weddings I’ve had this year have been quickly planned and flowers ordered, I guess I may say with question marks, this may have been my last wedding of this year? A beautiful bride who was wearing an antique silver dress with attendants wearing eggplant colors. I ordered beautiful Schwartzwalder mini calla lilies, bright colored green mini hydrangea, full color Pink Dorit roses, green hypericum, and raspberry striped spray roses. Because of the silver color of the bride’s dress, I have saved some Dusty Miller from one of my outside pots from the summer. It hasn’t been an easy task as we had some very cold temperatures in October. Since November’s weather has been milder and I kept the pot inside my old flower shop area at my home, the Dusty Miller continued to grow and thrive. I included the foliage in the bride’s bouquet….

and the corsages for the Moms.

All in all, I enjoyed working with the gorgeous callas, hydrangea, and most of all, meeting both bride and groom. The cozy venue for the ceremony was the River Driver’s Restaurant at the New England Outdoors Center in Millinocket, a favorite place for a great many visitors to the Katahdin Region. Thanks Deidra and John for letting me be part of your special day.
Final wedding of the season?
