Prelude to Valentine’s Day

5 February, 2010

As a small town florist, I’ve been blessed by my customers lately. Being busy always makes the days go by quickly. Thank You to all my customers, new and old.
It was wonderful to have a recepient stop by today to say how much my designs were appreciated during her recovery. That makes my day and month to hear.
And now on to Valentine’s Day!! Trying to get ready in the florist world is just as busy as the days of the holiday. Valentine’s Day is on Sunday this year. So we are looking forward to some busy days before the 14th! So many of our ladies who get flowers from their loved ones on Valentine’s Day will be working (and they so appreciate getting their gifts at work) that I look forward to our busiest days falling on work days. We appreciated many years ago when the Governor of Massachusetts titled the week after the 14th as “Valentine’s Week” thanks to an enormous snow storm that engulfed the New England States with 24 + inches of that wonderful white stuff called “White Gold” to the snowsledding and ski states.
Barring any unforeseen snow storms (which we usually still get everything delivered in), Valentine’s Week begins on February 8th! One whole week to enjoy the gorgeous fresh floral gifts Millinocket Floral can provide.
